Commercial search results mix manufacturers, traders, consumer brands, coconut-shell shisha producers and biomass-fuel suppliers. Start by excluding the wrong product category, then compare suppliers against the same written requirement.
1. Define the fuel and application
State that you need barbecue charcoal briquettes, not coal briquettes, heating briquettes, sawdust logs, quick-light products or hookah cubes. Add the intended appliance and buyer channel. A supermarket range, restaurant distributor and bulk importer can require different packs, claims and evaluation methods.
2. Identify the raw material
Ask what charcoal feedstock is used and how it is declared. For BRICAPAR, the two focused lines are White Quebracho and Viñal. Raw-material identity can affect documentation, sourcing review and how products should be compared, but it does not by itself prove a numerical performance claim.
3. Build a written specification
List shape, dimensions, nominal unit weight, tolerances, binder declaration, moisture, ash, fixed carbon, calorific value, mechanical integrity and packaging. Decide which are information items and which are contractual acceptance criteria. Name the test method, sampling basis and document expected for each critical value.
4. Compare representative samples
Use samples linked to the supply option and record sample identity. Keep ignition, fuel mass, appliance, airflow, ambient conditions and measurement points consistent. A visually impressive demonstration is not a substitute for a repeatable method.
5. Plan packaging and claims
Confirm primary pack, nominal weight, print, languages, barcode, palletization and destination-market legal copy. Any FSC, EN 1860-2, composition or performance statement must be supported for the actual product and documents.
6. Review supply and export details
Ask about forecast, production window, pack lead time, loading basis, route, carrier acceptance and shipment documents. Avoid treating a generic container tonnage as fixed: pack and pallet configuration can change the calculation.
7. Qualify the commercial response
A useful quotation identifies what is confirmed, what depends on final artwork or testing, and what requires buyer input. It should not rely on unsupported superlatives or legacy figures.
