EN 1860-2

Product requirements and test methods for barbecue charcoal and barbecue charcoal briquettes.

FSC

Defined forest-management and chain-of-custody scopes with product-claim rules.

EUDR

Due-diligence information and obligations for relevant operators and traders.

OEA

Customs compliance and international supply-chain security in Paraguay.

EN 1860-2:2023

Requirements and test methods for barbecue fuel.

EN 1860-2:2023 covers barbecue charcoal and barbecue charcoal briquettes and supersedes the 2005 edition cited by the legacy site.

“Tested according to,” “conforms to,” “independent laboratory report,” “DIN-certified” and “DINplus” describe different evidence. BRICAPAR will only use wording supported for the actual product.

Current product scope

Ask which product was sampled, when it was tested, which edition and methods were used, who issued the document and what conclusion it supports.

FSC scopes

Defined credentials, qualified product claims.

Forest management

BRICAPAR holds FSC forest management certification for a defined Viñal scope covering Prosopis ruscifolia.

SCS-FM/COC-007435
Trademark licence FSC-C158979
Valid through 19 March 2028.

Chain of Custody

BRICAPAR holds FSC Chain of Custody certification for FSC 100% wood charcoal (W2) within the processing scope stated in the certificate.

CU-COC-861471
Valid through 6 August 2028.

A finished briquette should only carry an FSC claim when the actual product, lot and commercial documents support that claim. These credentials do not automatically apply to White Quebracho or every Viñal product.

EUDR information

Supplier records support the buyer’s due diligence.

For relevant supply options, available information may include product identity, species, country of production, plot geolocation, production date or period, legality records and lot-to-shipment linkage.

The relevant EU operator or trader remains responsible for the applicable due-diligence process. EUDR is not a product certification, and BRICAPAR does not describe products as “EUDR approved.”
