A successful buyer brand connects a defensible product specification with pack design, claims, approvals and repeat supply.

Private label is a controlled product-development and supply process. Treating it as a logo change creates avoidable risks in specifications, legal copy, print lead times and container planning.

Choose the product first

Select the raw-material line and intended application. Define the briquette format and the physical or analytical criteria your market requires. Ask what current documents support the proposed product.

Define the commercial pack

Specify material, nominal weight, dimensions, closure, handle, inner protection, cartons if used and pallet configuration. Pack choices affect print method, storage, product protection and loading.

Prepare compliant artwork

Include brand ownership, print-ready files, dielines, languages, barcode, legal entity information, country-of-origin statements, user instructions and mandatory warnings for the destination. Confirm who supplies and approves each element.

Substantiate product claims

Do not print “FSC-certified,” “EN 1860-2,” “no additives,” “low ash,” “long burning,” “natural” or similar statements until the actual product and current evidence support the exact wording. Certification scope, test report and marketing language are separate checks.

Approve before production

Use a documented approval covering product, specification revision, artwork, colors, pack construction, barcode, nominal weight, shipping marks and pallet layout. Decide whether a physical proof or pre-production sample is required.

Plan forecast and replenishment

Share the launch window, seasonal pattern and expected repeat volume. Packaging procurement and artwork changes can have different lead times from briquette production. Build this into the reorder point.

Connect shipment records

Confirm packing list, invoice, origin, transport and any product, FSC or traceability information required. The final documents must match the claim and product supplied.
